Make sure that the home is well lit for viewings and open houses. Poor lighting can make your home look cramped and unappealing. Sparkling clean windows, open drapes and blinds and let as much light as possible into the home.
If you have a fireplace – make sure that it is lit during viewing times, making the house look cosy and appealing in spite of the cold outside. Turn up the heat enough so that the home is warm and cosy – but not so much that your prospective buyers feel as if they have walked into a furnace!
Ensure that your garden is tidy and well-trimmed with weed-free, with well turned beds. Rake up any leaves and plant a few seasonal bedding plants – this can make all the difference to the kerb appeal of your home.
