A useful cleaning routine includes accessible areas that collect dust, moisture or food residue.
Follow equipment instructions
Check appliance manuals before cleaning filters, seals or internal parts. A dishwasher filter is not automatically dishwasher-safe itself. Disconnect or handle equipment only as instructed, and use appropriate professionals for electrical faults.
Investigate moisture
Clean suitable surfaces with labelled products and do not mix chemicals. Persistent mould needs attention to its cause, such as leaks, condensation or inadequate ventilation; bleach alone does not solve the underlying problem. Arrange qualified advice for extensive growth or building damage. Keep food-contact areas and cleaning tools hygienic.
