A useful cleaning routine removes dirt safely. Natural ingredients are not automatically harmless or effective.
Use products for their intended purpose
Follow labels, surface instructions and ventilation requirements. Never mix cleaning chemicals. Keep food-contact areas clean with appropriate methods, and replace worn sponges rather than microwaving them in the hope of making them safe.
Deal with pests and moisture properly
Do not rely on corks or essential oils as proven pest control. Some oils can harm children or animals, and infestation may need professional treatment. Investigate leaks and mould sources rather than masking smells. Keep food sealed and remove waste regularly; simple prevention is more dependable than an unsupported household remedy.
