A parking space or storage cage shown at an inspection is not enough to establish the rights you are buying.
Match the home to the title
Have your conveyancer compare the plan, lot numbers, contract and registered rights. Establish whether parking or storage belongs to the lot, is common property with a right of use, or has another arrangement.
Check restrictions and access
Review by-laws, access routes, visitor parking and any restrictions affecting storage or alterations. Do not assume an agent’s verbal description overrides the documents.
Test the practical fit
Measure the actual space and consider access, vehicle clearance and security. Confirm that advertised inclusions and any promised changes are documented appropriately before you commit.
