Allow for alternative accommodation, storage, styling and ongoing bills. Discuss whether your buyer audience is likely to benefit from an empty or furnished presentation. A vacant home can also feel less inviting without suitable furniture, so choose the approach property by property.
Protect the home while it is empty
Check your insurer's vacancy conditions, keep essential services available and arrange regular checks. Secure keys and valuables and maintain the garden. If the home is rented, selling does not give you an automatic right to require the tenants to leave. Confirm the lawful position before promising vacant possession.
