Guidance reviewed 3 October 2026.

A property profile report can organise research, but its contents and data quality vary between providers.

Check what it includes

Look at the date, source and coverage of sales, planning or demographic information. Distinguish estimates from recorded transactions and verify details relevant to your intended use. An attractive report format does not establish accuracy.

Keep independent checks

A profile is not a building inspection, title search or planning approval. Ask your conveyancer about legal rights and restrictions and use official planning records where relevant. Review building, pest and strata information separately. Use the report to direct questions rather than treating it as a complete purchase clearance.
